Per the Mirror, Barcelona will offer a host of star players to English clubs amid a desperate attempt to raise funds. Here are three loan targets that Arsenal should consider.

Amid the financial pressures caused by COVID1-19 and the drastic drop in revenue as a result of the suspension of the season, Barcelona have reportedly offered a host of players bar, Lionel Messi, to English clubs in the hopes of offloading several, either on a permanent or loan basis. Arsenal could look to take advantage of their firesale by making loan offers for several of their star players.

With that in mind, here are three Barcelona loan targets that the Gunners should consider this summer.

3. Philippe Coutinho

Signing any of these players on a permanent basis is not possible. Arsenal can barely afford their wages on a temporary basis, nevermind committing to them over an extended period and adding a hefty transfer fee on top. Nevertheless, on a year-long loan, the finances change a little, especially if Barcelona are now willing to listen to offers.

One player we know will be available is Philippe Coutinho. While the Brazilian will return to Barcelona in the summer with the intention of fighting for his place, after being allowed to join Bayern Munich for the season on loan, it is quite clear that the Catalan giants do not see him as a major part of their team.

The last time Coutinho was in the Premier League, he was one of the most threatening attacking midfielders in the world. Across his final 18 months at Anfield, he played 3,360 minutes and scored 20 goals and assisted 13 in what is truly outrageous production. Chuck that into the heart of the Arsenal team and you have a very exciting attacking line-up indeed. Whether Coutinho can recover that form remains to be seen, but on a temporary basis, it might be worth finding out.
