Explaining Bernd Leno’s injury, post-injury performance, and why it’s a best case scenario : Gunners

Hey everyone – in this video, I explained Leno’s right knee injury, return timeline, performance and long-term impacts, and why the diagnosis is the best case scenario. The injury may also be a sprain of the outer layer of the knee capsule but that changes none of the other points. Lastly – I’m still waiting on more info/confirmation on Martinelli.

Here’s a table of contents, header (sub headers):

  • 0:00 Intro

  • 0:40 Mechanism of injury (graphic warning)

  • 1:03 Initial fears

  • 1:18 Team diagnosis (injury severity, return timeline, which ligament?)

  • 2:18 Career impact (performance, long-term, commitment to fitness, position-specific boost)

For those at work or the hard of hearing, I’ve transcribed subtitles on YouTube so sound isn’t required.
