TIL that Arsenal have the longest streak in the top-flight which began in 1919 and is still ongoing : Gunners

Just to show you how long that is compared to other teams:

Only five other teams as well as us have never been relegated from the Premier League (which began in 1992):

Everton – Began their current top-flight streak in 1954

Liverpool – Began their current top-flight streak in 1962

Manchester United – Began their current top-flight streak in 1975

Shit (unfortunately) – Began their current top-flight streak in 1978

Chelsea – Began their current top-flight streak in 1989

Many older fans of these clubs who have supported them for most of their lives would probably remember them playing outside the top-flight of English football. We last did that 105 years ago in 1915 (before football was cancelled due to World War One). And the worlds oldest living person was born in 1903. She would have been 12 years old when we last played outside the top-flight. Plus TV wasn’t even a thing back when we last played outside the top-flight.
