Upamecano’s plan, Lacazette swap deal, Ceballos to stay and Saint-Maximin : Gunners

Summary:

As previously reported, a few clubs (Inter, Juventus, Atletico) are reported to be interested in signing Lacazette. Juventus has made contact with his entourage, and other clubs are wondering whether a swap deal can be struck. Arteta needs to speak to Lacazette to see what he feels. If Arsenal can sell, it’s possible that he’ll leave this summer. We need to bring in money through sales to fund new player. Atletico seems to be a likely destination for Lacazette.

Guendouzi: Looks as though he’ll be sold, and as Ornstein stated that he has been training alone.

Partey: Apparently very keen on a move to Arsenal

The club is open to swap deals.

Ceballos: Arteta open to keep him for another season, most likely as a loan, but that’s in Real Madrid’s hands. Watts would be surprised if Ceballos is an Arsenal player next season, as Ceballos is unlikely to be a starter, and he wants regular first team football with the Euros coming up next year.

Upamecano: Initial talks last summer, Upamecano wants to leave. Apparently Upamecano doesn’t want to go to a top side in Europe (Man City etc) but rather a team where he’ll play regularly, but is also playing in Europe (Arsenal makes sense., if we make the Europa League.) There is a chance that Upamecano signs a new contract with RB Leipzig if he doesn’t see an ideal opportunity for him.

Allan Saint-Maximin: Watts would be surprised as he (ASM) has a long contract (5-6 years), it would be very expensive, and Arsenal have a number of wide players, albeit young (Saka, Pepe, Nelson.)
