What is Arsenal’s best starting XI when every player is fit and available? With time aplenty, I asked this question to dig into the depths of the squad.

Arsenal have dealt with plenty of injuries this season, meaning it is difficult to determine what their strongest starting XI actually is. They have also had three different managers, a whole host of systems, and periods of encouraging and discouraging form. It can be difficult to determine which individuals are a product of their surroundings in such cases.

So, with time to reflect, here is what I believe is Arsenal’s strongest starting XI assuming every player is fully match-fit.

Perhaps the easiest position to decide, Bernd Leno has been excellent ever since he took the starting goalkeeping role. He sometimes has issues when commanding his penalty area and his distribution must improve, but he is an elite shot-stopper and has ironed out his youthful errors of previous seasons. He is the best goalkeeper in the squad by some distance.
