These stats are pretty encouraging. However it’s clear to see that future lies in the Cf role due to his best qualities being his shot selection, movement, aerial duels and his pressing which is backed up by his tackles and interceptions numbers. If he is played centrally his pressing can create more effective transitions for us.

The reason why I don’t see him developing into the Lw role is due to the fact that he isn’t creative enough and isn’t that good of a dribbler as he isn’t that good in 1v1 situations, he’s better at jus creating space for himself to get a shot off or if there’s a space behind the defender using his pace to get behind them. If u compare him to Saka who martinelli will be competing for if he wants to play in that Lw role, Saka is much better at dribbling and in terms of creativity.

However martinelli will need to bulk up and improve on his hold up play to become a great CF.
