Patrick Vieira 2001/02 – The Beast In His Prime : Gunners

Vieira changed what we thought a midfielder should be at the time. People saw him and thought he should be a CB. Then he showed his technique so they said he should be a DM. Then he showed his engine, passing range and shot, after that they threw out the book and left Paddy to do whatever the fuck he wanted!

The fact that since he left the game not just us but every major team have hunted for a Vieira-lite midfielder is testament to how good he was. I’m proud that he played for us and glad that I gotta watch him in his prime.
