Look at the sky! Is it a bird, is it a plane? No! It’s Özil trying a bizarre flying scorpion kick! Stuff like this is just part of what makes the guy so fun to watch. He doesn’t do it to showboat, either; I get the sense he legitimately thinks this is the best way to pass the ball along. And wouldn’t ya know it, it comes off. Özil generates a lot of power in the air, and the ball falls right to Wilshire, who’s so impressed that he tries a little flick for himself.
