v. Liverpool, 2018. : Gunners

So Arsenal played a game yesterday, albeit a friendly against Charlton. Does that mean that by my own rules I should stop posting? Maybe. Probably. Fuck it, though, I’ll wait ’til Man City. That’s what I’ve planned for, and I’ve got a few more special passes to show off before then. (If the restart is delayed, though, I think I’m going to call it on the 17th anyway. Just a warning.) Special passes like this nifty flick, which fools the best defender in the world and almost leads to a beautiful Laca goal. It’s a tough one for the Frenchman; his shot is annoyingly close.

Fun facts about this match:

  • Lucas Torreira gained possession 10 times, won 80% of his duels, and had a pass completion rate of 89.1%.

  • At this point in the season, Arsenal had not led at half-time in any of their 11 Premier League matches. However, the Gunners had scored more goals after the break than any other side (19).
