Does anyone know what Arteta’s ideal formation is? and is Aouar defensively adept enough to suit it? Partey i think is a b2b mid but very competent defensively but if i’m honest i know absolutely jack squat about Aouar other than his name sounds like Hour, He’s french, He’s 22 and is a very talented number 8. But ceballos is also a very talented 8 and is sound defensively, can carry the ball and showed toward the end of last season he can break lines with a very very good weighted pass. So after all of this would xhaka be our DM? which again he’s more of an 8 that isn’t too good at carrying the ball but is very good at cross field/long diagonals and midfield control . So are we going to play with three box to box mids and hope that we win with power in numbers kind of like Liverpool ? or will we switch and get a traditional dm like Fernandinho/Rodri next season?
