assisting Alexis v. Leicester, 2015. : Gunners

With two touches and six Leicester players watching him closely, Özil manages to create something out of nothing here. How? Well, he takes Mahrez out of the equasion with his first touch, motioning forward before stepping back and bringing the ball to a standstill at his feet. Then, he swivels around to face goalside, and, while never looking directly at Alexis Sanchez, chips a gorgeous cross above everyone to the Chilean, who’s made an exceptional run. Class from the pair of them, and it’s a shame we don’t score too many goals like this anymore. Game’s changed, I guess.
