If we don’t sell him this summer, then he will go down to a year on his deal, and we either get a small fee for him, which the fans will all be upset over (“X club got £YYm for their player, why are we getting £ZZm for Lacazette?”) or, he leaves for free.
After getting nothing for Ramsey, Özil and Alexis, who were all saleable assets, we cannot afford to let ourselves get into messy situations like that again.
