Where’s this consensus coming from all of a sudden anyway? That at the age of almost 28, after 10 years, 6 loans and only 14 top flight games for Arsenal, that this is finally the time that he’s had enough and wants to step out of the shadow and become a proper first keeper… At a newly promoted team.
He could have made a move like this fucking ages ago if he wanted to but obviously he doesn’t. And it’s obviously not about money because he’s had the lowest salary in the squad since ever since he made the first team. He could have probably moved ages ago and still got more than the 20k a week he’s currently getting
To me it seems as if the man just wants to play for Arsenal and if that’s all he wants and that’s perfectly fine.
