Please comment if you have something to add or if I got something wrong
The last part of part 6 is coming tomorrow

Season 14/15

Thomas Vermaelen (34) – A strange transfer as Barcelona was desperate for a CB at the end of the window. He was mostly injured for Barcelona and did under par and had a few good matches. His loan at Roma didn’t go very well. Sent off his first match after just 41 min with two yellow cards. Was mostly injured and Roma did not use their option to buy. The return to Barcelona was kind of better. He managed to become a starter for a little while, but again injured. Signed for Vissel Kobe and joined Podolski in Japan. Won the cup with them in 2019 and the Japanese super cup 2020. Been struggling with injuries in Japan too

Johan Djourou (33) – It seem like he did well at Hamburg to start with, but after ambitions of Champions League failed the club started to do worse. Djourou played mostly as a starter, but last season he only played bit less than half their games. Went to Antalyaspor and fail to impress and didn’t get his contract renewed at the end of the season. Did badly at SPAL and they mutually ended the contract after 6 games. After a year of being clubless he signed for Sion and after 2 games and less than a month he was 1 of 9 players dismissed for not taking a pay cut because of the coronavirus-pandemic (including Alex Song)

Ignasi Miquel (27) – Didn’t play for Norwich City, terminated his contract and went back to Spain where he did well for Ponferradina. Transferred to Lugo were he played well too. Went to Malaga in December 2017 with an emergency transfer and played most of their matched and after just 6 months was sold to Getafe. Failed to impress and was loaned out to Girona after a year. Has only played 7 games for Girona this season

Thomas Eisfeld (27) – Was sold to Fullham and didn’t do too well. Was loaned out to VfL Bochum after 6 months, impressed and was sold to VfL Bochum the next season. Seems to have done well in his first season, but struggling more and more with injuries and in general play time

Kristoffer Olsson (24) – After a loan at FC Midtjylland he went permanently to the Danish club. Seems to have done well for them and won the league with them. After two seasons he moved back to Sweden with AIK. He had two good seasons and won the league in 2018. Now plays for Krasnodar in Russia and is a starter for the team. He has also become a more central figure on the Swedish national team

Bacary Sagna (37) – Left us for Manchester City trying to win the league, but “only” won the league cup. Didn’t play much at his first season at City, played a lot more the second and his third season he played regularly, but suffered a month long injury and had a season ending injury at the end of his City career. After being free agent for some time he signed with Benevento and played most of the season for them. He opted out of signing an extension with the Italians and signed for the MLS club Montral Impact in Canada (not USA Defoe!). Seems to have been doing well for them

Daniel Boateng (27) – He never seemed to manage to settle and ended up jumping clubs. He went on an European tour and was at Olimpik Sarajevo (Bonsina), Södertälje (Sweden), Airdrieonians (Scotland), Rakow C (Poland), Olimpia G (Poland), Aerostar Bacau (Romania) and now just signed a contract for Welling United (England)
