Let’s be fair, he’s probably the best contract renewal we’ve had in the Emirates era.

Getting Walcott was a huge deal at the time, because that kept on dragging on, but Aubameyang is just different gravy and is probably the best striker we’ve had since van Persie and would have probably been in with a chance of catching the king in terms of goals if he’d joined a few years earlier.

He’s tactically versatile, he plays without complaint, he’s prolific and he’s outstanding with the young players and shows no signs of slowing down, either in terms of his speed or his overall abilities.

He’s probably Wenger’s second or third best signing. Henry is obviously number one, but between Aubameyang and Alexis Sánchez, it’s difficult to see which is the better signing as they were both so good and won trophies here.
